Manchester’s coolest vintage lovers never miss the city’s Vintage Fashion Market which takes over Piccadilly Gardens every third Saturday of the month. The market has become increasingly popular and continues to attract more of the best vintage traders. Whether you are looking for vintage homeware, collectables or fashion, this is the place to be. Located in the super-cool Northern Quarter of Manchester, Afflecks Palace is a shopping market full of independently-operated vintage and alternative clothing stores, each specialising in their own little niche. There are also tattoo parlours, cafes and barber shops and it’s famous for being the birth place of fashion label Red or Dead. A trip to Afflecks Palace is an experience in itself and a must for vintage fashionistas and anyone interested in alternative fashion.

A self professed haven for “vintage junkies” the Pop Boutique has been going strong in Manchester since 1994 and they now have stores across England and, more recently, in Sweden. They specialise in bright retro and vintage clothing from 60s, 70s and 80s and also have their own label which the vintage fashion scene is lapping up! Don’t forget your sunglasses.

Retro Rehab is a girly little store selling classic retro and vintage fashion for women. The staff are friendly and happy to help. And they display their stock neatly so that you can easily find what you want without having to rummage around or pick things up off the floor.
